The Florida Aquarium is a non-profit organisation dedicated to aquatic life, conservation, research and education. Its Sea Turtle Rehabilitation Center (STRC), located at the Center for Conservation in Apollo Beach, Florida, provides care and rehabilitation for rescued sea turtles, supporting their recovery and eventual return to the wild.

About the role

The Florida Aquarium is seeking a Manager for its Sea Turtle Rehabilitation Center to lead the daily operations of the facility and oversee the husbandry, rehabilitation and welfare of sea turtles in its care.

The successful candidate will lead and develop the STRC team, oversee animal care and rehabilitation programmes, and ensure compliance with relevant regulatory, accreditation and animal welfare standards. Working closely with the Animal Health team, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) and other conservation partners, the Manager will coordinate veterinary care, rescue responses, rehabilitation and releases.
