Sea Turtle Conservation Curaçao is dedicated to the preservation and protection of sea turtles in their natural habitat. We are seeking a Research Coordinator to join our team and play a vital role in advancing our conservation mission. In this position, you will coordinate research and monitoring activities, support conservation initiatives, manage research data, and collaborate with a range of stakeholders.
The Research Coordinator will work closely with STCC’s Scientific Committee, volunteers, and partner organizations to support the Foundation’s research and conservation objectives.
The ideal candidate will possess:
• A master degree in a relevant scientific or environmental field.
• Strong organizational, communication, and project coordination skills.
• Experience in research, conservation, environmental management, or a related field.
• The ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Experience working with volunteers, students, or community groups is an asset.
• A willingness to work flexible hours when required for field activities.
• A proactive and adaptable approach, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• An interest in marine conservation and a commitment to the mission of Sea Turtle Conservation Curaçao.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate and support research, monitoring, and conservation activities.
• Manage research data and maintain accurate records.
• Assist with rescue, rehabilitation, and field operations as needed.
• Prepare reports and contribute to scientific and technical communications.
• Support volunteer, student, and intern engagement and training.
• Collaborate with partners, government agencies, researchers, and community stakeholders.
• Assist in the development and implementation of conservation and research initiatives.
